April 2026 Update

To Our Donors,

There’s something hopeful about the brightness of spring and how it shows us that with nurturing and support, even the smallest beginnings can grow into something more beautiful than we imagined. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being part of that with The Fitz Foundation.

Although we are still in the early part of our journey, we have been deeply moved by the many people who have donated and shared their own stories with us. The Fitz Foundation has already grown into something far greater than a tribute to our Fitz; it has become a place to honor the legacy of so many precious children.

We are humbled and grateful to share that we have surpassed $85,000 in donations. Because of you, what began as a spark of hope in the midst of heartbreak is becoming something real, something that has the potential to make a meaningful difference. With that, we wanted to provide a brief update on where we are today:

We’ve been meeting with hospital leaders, fellow infant-loss parents, and nonprofit experts who have encouraged us to sharpen our vision. So, with that, our near-term focus will be just that; refining and strengthening our mission. While we will continue to support existing nonprofits that serve NICU and bereavement programs, we feel called to build something more tangible, something that expands our impact in a meaningful way. We are exploring several early ideas and look forward to sharing more as this vision becomes clearer.

Your donation is more than a contribution; it is a symbol of trust. The Fitz Foundation will continue to evolve as we pursue ways to support families and caregivers in real, practical, and compassionate ways.

We are honored to have you alongside us as we continue building something that brings light into some of the darkest moments. We feel your support with every step we take.

With grateful hearts,

Katy and Alex
